The 10-day NOAA weather forecast shows the ridge (possible dome) parking over the western Corn Belt and lower Plains. This will keep that area very hot and dry but does suggest a good chance of rain for mid-August across the northern Plains.  This would put pressure on yields in the western and southwestern Corn Belt while increasing yield potential in the northern areas.
