Bill Lee was born in Brooklyn, New York. He has won four international awards for cartoon artwork in magazines, was among the first cartoonists contacted for the newly-created New York Times op-ed page, and was one of the first journalists allowed into China at the opening of that country. Bill has had gallery exhibitions of paintings and sculptures and has done a screenplay for CBS, plus seven collections of cartoon art in humor books. He has traveled--writing and drawing--to China, Russia, Poland, Cuba, and beyond. Bill has covered three political conventions and gives lectures and slideshows on humor in cartoon art. Bill has a daughter, Jennifer Catherine, and his hobbies are relaxing with a drink and music that ranges somewhere in between Hank Williams and Mozart.
